Permanent BC psychiatrist role combining inpatient, outpatient and forensics in Western New York with hybrid hospital/community practice. Full-time, permanent Psychiatrist role in Cattaraugus County, NY. Schedule includes inpatient, consultation-liaison, ER supervision, outpatient, child psychiatry, day treatment and substance abuse services. Mandatory call one week every fourth week. Hospital-based ~50% with ~50% travel to regional facilities. - M.D. or D.O. licensed to practice psychiatry in New York
- Board Certification in Psychiatry
- Completion of general psychiatry residency; fellowship in Addiction/Forensics or equivalent preferred
- Familiarity with neuropsychological testing
- Eligible for or holding appropriate visa (H visa OK)
Full description
Seeking a BC Psychiatrist. Position involves:
-Adult inpatient and consultation-liaison psychiatry and supervision of ER evaluations
-General adult outpatient clinical services
-Child psychiatry
-Adult day treatment and substance abuse treatment.
-Will also provide court ordered forensic evaluations.
-Call is mandatory, one week every fourth week.
-Based in hospital approximately 50% of the time.
-Travel to other facilities within Cattaraugus County, NY, approximately 50% of time
REQUIREMENTS
-M.D and license to practice psychiatry in New York.
-Board Certification.
-Additional training such as an accredited fellowship and knowledge of Neuropsychological testing.
-Candidate would need to have completed at least a general psychiatry residency program.
