American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry unit position requiring prior travel experience and EPIC proficiency.
Responsibilities- Work in a 36-bed Telemetry unit with private rooms serving young adult to geriatric patients
- Patient population includes those requiring medical cardiac care and post-cardiac interventions such as cardiac surgery, stent placement, and pacemaker implants
- Patient ratio is 1:6
- Must float to units of equal or lower acuity as needed
- Day shift schedule of 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:00
- Every other weekend is required
- Telemetry nurses care for patients recovering from cardiac interventions and hemodynamically stable non-procedural cardiac cases
- No travel pairs or group submissions will be accepted
- No more than three days of requested time off will be approved, and no time off is allowed during the first week of orientation
- Active TX or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum of 2 years' RN experience with previous travel experience required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- EPIC charting system experience required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred
- Applicants residing in specified local counties or within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered
- Former permanent staff must have at least a one-year break before returning as a traveler
