Job Title: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine
Join a dedicated team serving our nation s Veterans in Houston, Texas! This role focuses on performing Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments to support Veterans in need. As part of a reputable facility aiming to enhance Veterans' healthcare, your expertise will make a significant difference in their lives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-time, non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and health assessments.
- Perform interviews and physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Complete required documentation and submit reports, including addendums.
- Work on a PRN basis offering flexibility in half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours) shifts.
- Maintain open communication and collaboration with the team to ensure quality care for Veterans.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
- Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in California.
- Certification from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
- Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, or general medicine preferred.
- Ability to complete DMA training to become DMA certified.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Current California Nurse Practitioner license.
- AANP certification required.
- Must own a laptop (Mac/Apple products not acceptable).
