Job Details – CVICU RN Travel Assignment

• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Job
• Unit: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
• Start Date: December 1, 2025
• End Date: March 2, 2026
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), holiday rotation included
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Ratio: 1:2
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: Required within scope and similar units
• Charting System: Epic EMR
• Scrub Color: Royal Blue
• Parking: Free onsite
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1680 - $1730

Qualifications – CVICU Registered Nurse

• Active South Carolina RN license or Compact RN license
• Minimum 1 year of recent CVICU RN experience (2 years preferred)
• Previous travel nurse experience required
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Cardiac and neuro nursing experience required
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred
• Willingness to float to similar units as needed
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
• Must reside more than 60 miles from facility (no local travelers)
• First-time travel nurses not accepted

CVICU RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate care to adult and geriatric patients in the CVICU
• Monitor and manage patients with complex cardiovascular and neurological conditions
• Administer medications, titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips, and manage ventilated patients
• Assist with advanced procedures: chest tube insertion/removal, IABP, Impella, CRRT, Swan Ganz monitoring
• Interpret arterial blood gases and cardiac dysrhythmias
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy and phlebotomy
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Epic EMR
• Participate in scheduled holiday and weekend rotations
• Float to similar units as required to support facility needs
