Opportunity:

Job Details:
• Float between multiple ICUs including Trauma, Oncology, Cardiac/Heart and Vascular, Neurology, Medicine and COVID units
• Maintain 2:1 patient ratio on all ICU shifts (days, nights, and weekends)
• Float to inpatient floors when needed with ratio of no more than 1:3
• May be utilized as patient sitter when needed if census is low in ICU
• Every other weekend required
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Travel experience required - will not accept first-time travelers
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Preferred certifications: Chemo, CCRN, NIH, ONS, TNCC, CPI
• Required skills: Vents, IV start, Tele, Conscious Sedation
• Preferred skills: Swans-hemodynamic interpretation, IABP, Impella, ECMO, Vasoactive drips, CRRT, Triage, ICP, PA lines, Level 1 Trauma Experience
• EPIC charting system experience preferred
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Free parking provided
• Care for adult and geriatric patients (adolescents 16-18 years rare but possible)
• Does not require specific CVICU experience
• Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only

This short-term acute care facility operates multiple intensive care units providing specialized care for trauma, oncology, cardiac, neurology, and medical patients. The facility maintains comprehensive interdisciplinary support services including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation. The organization utilizes modern technology and equipment to deliver high-quality critical care services across various specialty units.
