Hematology and Oncology Physician Locum Tenens Opportunity Near Springfield, MO Job Details: We are seeking a locum tenens physician specializing in Hematology and Oncology for a long-term opportunity. This position is located near Springfield, MO and offers a flexible, ongoing schedule with both clinical hours and on-call responsibilities. The role is primarily focused on hematology patients with the potential for consults and follow-ups. You'll be joining a team that consists of 2 full-time physicians and 2 full-time Advanced Practice Providers (APP) who staff the clinic. Key Details: Start Date: ASAP - Ongoing Reason for Coverage: Long-term vacancy with permanent search Shift Type: Scheduled clinical hours plus call coverage Weekend Call: 24-hour on-call coverage for 1 to 2 weekends per month Schedule Requirement: Availability for 2 weeks per month Practice Setting: Outpatient with some inpatient responsibilities Board Certification: Must be board-certified or board-eligible Fellowship: Preferred, but not required License Requirement: Must hold a Missouri medical license EMR System: Epic Duties: Manage hematology patients Perform consultations and follow-ups Possible bone marrow procedures Call Type: Beeper call with some consultations Privileges: Hospital/surgery center privileges required Holiday Coverage: Must be available for select holidays, including New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Christmas Day, Thanksgiving, and the 4th of July.
