Primary Care Physician Veterans Care Canandaigua VA Outpatient Clinic
Location: Canandaigua, NY
Assignment Type: Locum Tenens Outpatient Primary Care
Compensation: $130/hour + Travel & Lodging Covered
Period of Performance: ASAP through at least April 2026

The Canandaigua VA Outpatient Clinic is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician to provide compassionate and comprehensive care to our nation s Veterans. This assignment offers consistent hours, a manageable workload, and the opportunity to serve those who served our country.

• Outpatient-only schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM (no weekends or federal holidays)

• Average patient volume: patients per day

• Veteran population with chronic and acute primary care needs

• Travel, lodging, and malpractice provided

• Long-term coverage through April 2026

• Conduct routine exams, preventive screenings, and follow-up visits

• Manage chronic conditions (diabetes, hypertension, COPD, CHF, etc.)

• Document all care in VA s CPRS system

• Participate in interdisciplinary care teams using the PACT model

• Provide patient education, treatment, referral, and follow-up

• MD or DO, Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Practice

• Active license in any U.S. state or territory

• Current DEA registration & BLS/ACLS certification

• Must pass VA credentialing & background clearance
