Our job summary

The Family Practice/Primary Care Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive outpatient care by conducting medical histories, physical exams, and ordering diagnostic tests to evaluate and treat patients. This role requires a Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies, current licensure in IA/MN, and at least 2 years of clinical experience in family medicine or primary care. The practitioner works onsite at two facilities in a private practice setting, delivering full-time or part-time care focused on patient health management.

We are in search of 2 Full-time or Part-time Advance Practitioners (FNP / PA). The ideal Candidate will hold current licensure as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in IA / MN, (or be willing to obtain one or both licenses.) There are two facilities 45 minutes apart from one another on either side of the IA/MN State line.

Job Description:

Conducts thorough medical histories, performs complete physical examinations (where indicated), initiates appropriate lab, radiology tests, or other specialized tests required for evaluation of illness, and scrutinizes lab data on new and former clinic patients to establish a record of the patient's current health status and to develop a working diagnosis and treatment plan.

Requirements:

Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) with a Family Nurse Practitioner focus OR a Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in family medicine, primary care, or a similar clinical setting.
Current licensure as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in IA / MN.
Board certification as an FNP by the ANCC or AANP, or as a PA-C by the NCCPA.
