A Registered Nurse (RN) PACU who excels in this role will:
Provides direct and indirect patient care in the Recovery/Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
Communicate effectively with all members of the healthcare team regarding changes in patient condition or response to treatment
Reports to the Director of Surgery
The PACU Registered Nurse (RN) delivers critical post‑operative nursing care, ensuring patient stability, comfort, and rapid response to changing conditions after anesthesia.
Current RN license in state of practice
ACLS and PALS within 1 year of hire (PALS not required for Pain Clinic RNs)
