An experienced Obstetrics/Gynecology Hospitalist provides high-quality care in a busy hospital setting near Hull, Texas. We are seeking an experienced Obstetrics/Gynecology Hospitalist for a locum tenens position in Southeast Texas, near Hull. This opportunity is perfect for a dedicated professional ready to provide high-quality care in a busy setting.
Position Overview:- Location: Near Hull, Texas
- Shifts Available: 12 or 24-hour shifts, flexible scheduling.
- Shift Dates:
- November: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 6th, 15th, 16th, 23rd, 30th
- December: 1st, 3rd, 14th, 15th, 21st, 22nd, 24th, 25th, 26th, 29th, 31st
- Patient Volume: High at certain locations, but multiple physicians will be available to share the load.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in OB/GYN required.
- Licensure: Must have a clean background with no malpractice issues.
- Privileges: Temporary privileges are available.
- Facility Type: Maternal Levels II-IV and NICU Levels II-IV units available.
- Provide consultations for obstetric patients in the emergency department or hospital clinics.
- Coordinate care and transport of critically ill patients as needed.
- Perform surgical assist services and manage obstetric emergencies.
- Deliver unassigned obstetric patients and manage them from admission to discharge.
- Provide first-assist support for cesarean sections.
- Participate in quality improvement activities, including patient safety drills and accreditation compliance.
- Offer care to unassigned gynecology patients, including surgical management and consultative support.
- Collaborate with nursing staff for efficient operations in labor and delivery.
- Maintain timely, accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Ensure excellent customer service to patients and staff.
- Respond to emergencies, including activating massive transfusion protocols.
- Participate in department meetings and quality initiatives.
- Stay current on training for fetal heart monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with hospital bylaws and medical staff policies.
