Opportunity:
RN - Acute Med Surg
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts with start times between 6:45-7:15
• Every other weekend requirement with holiday coverage as needed
• Patient ratios of 1:5, possibly 1:6 for both day and night shifts
• Minimum 2 years experience in specialty required
• Must live within 75-mile radius from hospital based on driver's license address
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and NIHSS (both must be AHA certified)
• Work on 44-bed acute medical surgical unit with 40 staff members
• Dress code requires Caribbean Blue scrubs
• Float to all acute care and cardio units for medical patients, or emergency department for acute care patient holds
• Telemetry monitoring available but monitored on different unit
• Work with CNA support staff with ratios of 1:8 to 1:10
• Use Meditech 6.1 charting system (experience preferred but not required)
• Complete 1-week general orientation including EMR training plus 2 days floor-specific orientation
• 12-hour cancellation policy every 2 weeks
