The Staff Pad has partnered with a hospital in Helena, MT to hire a Surgical Technologist.


Job Description: Surgical Technologist


The Staff Pad is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to support a leading hospital’s mission of delivering exceptional surgical care. In this role, you will assist surgeons during operative and invasive procedures, maintain a sterile environment, prepare operating rooms, manage surgical instruments and supply levels, and ensure compliance with safety and infection-control standards. This position also supports departmental meetings, staff collaboration, and performance improvement activities.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist surgeons during procedures while maintaining strict sterile technique.

  • Prepare operating rooms and ensure all necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies are available.

  • Monitor, stock, and organize surgical instruments and supplies.

  • Clean, disinfect, and sterilize instruments per hospital protocols.

  • Handle medications under direct supervision.

  • Participate in meetings, trainings, and quality improvement efforts.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of OR technician experience or certification in OR technology.

  • Ability to independently scrub in all surgical specialties.

  • High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of a two-year Surgical Technologist program preferred.

  • Current BCLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
