A Cardiology Physician provides comprehensive cardiovascular care including diagnostic procedures such as ECHOs, stress tests, TEEs, EKGs, and Holter monitor interpretations, along with inpatient rounds and occasional on-call duties. The role requires an Iowa State License, CSR, DEA certification, and up-to-date TB and flu vaccinations. The physician typically sees 10-15 patients daily and manages both outpatient and inpatient cardiac care.
Start Date ASAP. Credentialing is 60-90 without an IA License.
Required: IA State License, CSR, & DEA are all required to start. As well as TB 2 step Mantoux with 1 year or a QuantiFERON Gold within 2 years and current flu (no exemptions).
Procedures: ECHOS, Stress Tests, TEE s, EKG, Holter Monitor Interpretation, Cardioversion & Nuclear.
10-15 patients/day in clinic
Inpatient rounds vary when on call. Usually around 10-ish
Call back also varies. I think it could possibly avg 1-2 hours per day. Again, that s a very rough estimate.
If you have any other questions please feel to reach out to me. Happy to talk about anything.
