Responsibilities
Integral team member for cardiac device therapy and electrophysiology (EP) procedures in a subspecialty referral center of excellence. Training is provided so that the applicant develops into an EP lab specialist for invasive heart rhythm care. Three EP labs focus on high level complex care; fellow and resident training; while utilizing all technologies including 3D electroanatomical mapping, to intracardiac arrhythmia analysis, transvenous and subcutaneous pacing, intracardiac echo and ablation with radiofrequency and cryotherapy. Applicants will develop support expertise in all avenues of this specialist lab in a mentored, guided program where education is prioritized. The team members are responsible for all aspects of intra-operative patient care and teamwork, communication and flexibility is prized. 2-3 years of experience preferred.
Qualifications
• Graduate from an accredited cardiovascular program or radiology program with cardiac experience.
• Cath lab or EP lab experience is preferred but not required for those with cardiac education background.
• Experience: Two years in either Cath or EP is preferred, but not required.
• Qualities: Organized, efficient, team-based attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to demonstrate effective communication.
• Requirements: Ability to work varied hours and shifts.
• License or Certification: ACLS & BLS. CVT or RTR. Must obtain RCIS within six months of hire. RCES is required after 2 years of EP experience.
