PCU Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Akron, Ohio (44304) – Ohio healthcare jobs
• Unit: 5 West (Cardiac PCU/Telemetry)
• Assignment Type: Travel RN contract
• Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 2/1/2026 – End: 5/2/2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent PCU/Telemetry RN experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or compact state
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale
• Epic EMR experience within the last year (must be listed on resume)
• Ability to float to other hospital units as needed
• Competency in blood draws and IV starts
• Proficient in heparin drips, blood product administration, EKG interpretation, and rhythm changes
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off (RTO) allowed

PCU RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in a Cardiac PCU/Telemetry setting
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; respond to changes promptly
• Administer medications, including heparin drips and blood products
• Draw blood and initiate IVs as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for patient-centered care
• Float to other units as required to support clinical needs
• Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR
• Follow hospital policies and procedures, including dress code
