PCU Travel Nurse Job Details- Location: Akron, Ohio (44304) – Ohio healthcare jobs
- Unit: 5 West (Cardiac PCU/Telemetry)
- Assignment Type: Travel RN contract
- Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 2/1/2026 – End: 5/2/2026)
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Minimum 1 year of recent PCU/Telemetry RN experience
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or compact state
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale
- Epic EMR experience within the last year (must be listed on resume)
- Ability to float to other hospital units as needed
- Competency in blood draws and IV starts
- Proficient in heparin drips, blood product administration, EKG interpretation, and rhythm changes
- Maximum 7 days of requested time off (RTO) allowed
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in a Cardiac PCU/Telemetry setting
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; respond to changes promptly
- Administer medications, including heparin drips and blood products
- Draw blood and initiate IVs as needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for patient-centered care
- Float to other units as required to support clinical needs
- Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR
- Follow hospital policies and procedures, including dress code
