Physical Therapy Assistant at Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley, CA. This position is Full time and will work 8-hour, Day shift.

Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, the PTA directs, administers and modifies physical therapy patient care programs upon assignment after evaluation by the Physical Therapist. Performs administrative duties and participates in department Performance Improvement, Infection Control, Safety and Education programs as directed. The staff Physical Therapist Assistant may be assigned to orient staff and students and to assume the duties and responsibilities of the supervisor in the absence of that individual.

Required Qualifications

• Coursework/Training and Graduate of American Physical Therapy Association training program. Or equivalent educ/experience
• Associate's Degree and Allied Health Profession (Clinical Associates Degree). Equivalent training, Or
• Experience as specified by the Physical Therapy Board of California.
• Upon hire: California Physical Therapy Assistant License
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred Qualification:

• 5 years of experience in acute care, skilled nursing facility, outpatient, or sub-acute care settings.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
