Position Details:
- Patient Population: 100% adult, 25% geriatric
- Setting: Outpatient Clinic and Inpatient Hospital Coverage
- Call Ratio: 4:1
- Patient Load: 15-20 per day (up to 30 during COVID spikes)
- Pathology Includes: HIV, MRSA, cellulitis, osteomyelitis, septic joint, meningitis, diabetic foot infection, bacteremia, abscesses, and fungal infections
- EMR System: Epic (Epic experience REQUIRED)
- Support Staff: 3 physicians in the group
- Responsibilities:
- Cover both inpatient and outpatient infectious disease cases
- Consultative practice in managing complex infectious diseases
- Participation in infection prevention, infection control, and sepsis programs/committees as needed
Work Environment:
- Community-based practice in a modern medical office building adjacent to the hospital
- Collaborative and consultative practice, handling both routine and complex infectious disease cases
Submission Requirements:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible within 5 years of residency - REQUIRED
- Active Indiana License at the time of submission - REQUIRED
- BLS Certification - REQUIRED
- Local Provider within driving distance - PREFERRED
- MUST be willing and available to cover BOTH inpatient and outpatient - REQUIRED
Credentialing Timelines:
- Payer Enrollment: 90-120 days
- Hospital Privileges: 45-60 days
