We are seeking a Pediatric Anesthesiologist for a 100-day locum tenens assignment in Mississippi starting Jun 1, 2026. This role involves alternating 24-hour OR call and surgery center days, with a preference for 5-7 day blocks and weekend OR call. Key responsibilities include managing complex anesthesia cases across adult, trauma, pediatric, vascular, orthopedic, and obstetrical populations, as well as CRNA supervision. Job Details Location: Mississippi Start Date: Jun 1, 2026 LOA: 100 days Provider Type Needed: Pediatric Anesthesiologist Schedule: June and July 2026, plus Nov 15-21, 2026; prefer 5-7 day blocks with alternating 24-hour OR call and surgery center days, including weekend OR call Responsibilities and Duties Administer general anesthesia for adult, trauma, and pediatric patients Perform spinal and epidural anesthesia Provide regional anesthesia for surgical procedures Manage obstetrical anesthesia cases Handle complex vascular and orthopedic cases Implement pain management techniques, including post-op epidural and extremity blocks Administer epidural steroid injections for lumbar and cervical regions Perform central and arterial line placements Supervise CRNAs Complete Epic EMR training two weeks prior to first shift Additional Information Mississippi medical license required Board certification in Anesthesiology required Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Burn Life Support (ABLS) certifications required Epic EMR training must be completed prior to assignment Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
