What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergencies as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order at the location.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas as required by site-specific protocols.
- Maintain thorough and accurate records of incidents, patrols, and any security-related activities performed during the shift.
- Communicate and collaborate with Allied Universal management and local law enforcement as necessary for incident response and reporting.
- Remain alert and observant to identify and report any suspicious activities or security-related hazards within the location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
