Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Neurology Unit assignment requiring a TN or compact RN license and AHA BLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital-based Neurology Unit with a med/surg patient population
- Patients include those with strokes, neurological disorders, brain injuries, brain tumors, spine injuries and surgeries, seizures, epilepsy, AMS, dementia, and other neuro/behavioral health concerns
- Includes 3 Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) rooms
- Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 08:15
- Assignment duration is 13 weeks
- Possible 36 or 48 hour work weeks
- Floating to other units or facilities within a 35-mile radius based on staffing needs
- Notification provided prior to scheduled shifts regarding float assignments
- Responsible for providing care to neurology and med/surg patients with a variety of acute conditions
- Floats may be required based on patient census and acuity
- First time travelers accepted
- Local candidates accepted but will receive a reduced pay rate according to the facility radius rule
- Please be prepared to provide two professional references and a copy of your driver's license for consideration
- COVID-19 vaccine is not required
- Holiday and time-off requests should be discussed prior to assignment
Requirements
- Active TN or compact RN license
- Current AHA BLS certification
- Minimum of 1 year recent Med/Surg RN experience
- Nursys license verification required within 30 days of assignment start
- NIH Stroke Scale certification recommended
- Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
- Primary source license verification within 30 days of assignment start
