Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU to join a healthcare facility in Kearney, NE. The ICU RN will provide critical care to patients with life-threatening conditions, utilizing advanced clinical expertise, continuous monitoring, and rapid response interventions to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct, high-acuity nursing care to critically ill ICU patients
  • Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs and hemodynamic status
  • Operate advanced life support equipment such as ventilators and infusion pumps
  • Administer medications, including IV drips and titratable medications
  • Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to emergency situations
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR systems
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and care progression
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and patient safety standards

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (NE or compact state)
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required
  • Strong knowledge of critical care protocols and patient management
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Excellent clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
