Locum Physician (Family/General Medicine) to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for Veterans across Virginia on a PRN basis. Requires MD/DO with active Virginia license, clinical experience (≥2 years preferred), strong assessment and documentation skills, and ability to work independently; no prescribing or treatment duties. Flexible hours, competitive hourly pay, own exam space/equipment, and familiarity with VA protocols preferred.

As a Locum Physician specializing in General Medicine, you will play a vital role in conducting Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. Required Skills:
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) with active license in Virginia.
- Background in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or related general medicine fields.
- Proven experience with compensation and pension exams preferred.
- Excellent interview and physical assessment skills, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Ability to work independently in a clinical setting with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail in report documentation.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience performing VA examinations or in a similar administrative healthcare role.
- Familiarity with VA protocols and assessment procedures.
- Certification in medical assessment or related specialties.
- Bilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution.
- Active VA or state medical license.
- Prior experience in a military or veterans healthcare environment is a plus.
- At least 2 years of clinical practice in general medicine or related fields.
Other Requirements:
- Own office space and equipment required to conduct exams.
- Availability for PRN shifts, including days as needed.
- Completion of all mandatory training and onboarding procedures.
- Willingness to perform both interview and physical assessments, with no prescribing or treatment involved.
- Starting date: December 31, 2025
- No travel reimbursement outside of applicable local travel included in the rate.
