A facility in Tacoma, WA is seeking a locum orthopedic surgeon to provide 24/7 emergency room call coverage and outpatient clinic services for two weeks per month over 6 to 9 months. The role requires managing a wide range of orthopedic cases, excluding complex pelvic issues, with an emphasis on candidates with at least 5 years of Level II Trauma Center experience and board certification. Candidates must have relevant licenses, certifications, and preferably trauma fellowship training, with competitive hourly rates and malpractice coverage provided.

- Schedule: Coverage for 2 weeks per month (based on internal doctor's off-schedule) for a duration of 6 9 months.
- Work Mix: The two-week block includes:
- 24/7 ER Call Coverage with dedicated PA support.
- 3 Outpatient Clinic half-days (mornings, Monday Friday) each week.
- Procedures: Full spectrum of orthopedic cases minus complex pelvic issues. Admissions per day vary from 0 7.
- EMR: The facility uses EPIC for all charting.
- Trauma Credentialing: The facility will consider experienced Orthopedic Surgeons who lack formal trauma fellowship training, provided they can be successfully credentialed.
- Experience: MUST have 5 years of Level II Trauma Center experience.
- Board Status: Board Certified (BC) is REQUIRED.
- Fellowship: Fellowship trained Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon is REQUIRED (preference, but highly experienced trauma surgeons lacking the fellowship may be considered).
- Licensure: Active Washington (WA) License is HIGHLY PREFERRED, or active IMLC with LOQ in hand.
- Certifications: BLS and DEA are REQUIRED (will consider candidates who will obtain once the offer is accepted).
- Background: Clean Malpractice History is highly preferred.
