Emergency Medicine Physicians provide Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams and Separation Health Assessments primarily for Veterans on a PRN basis across various locations. The role involves conducting interview-based exams with some physical assessments, reporting standardized forms, and performing administrative follow-ups without treatment or prescribing. Candidates must have relevant medical licenses, certifications, and proficiency in evaluating musculoskeletal, respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.
VES is seeking General Medicine Providers to perform Compensation & Pension exams + Separation Health Assessments across the country.
Current Openings:
Provider s own office locations- The Provider must have their own office
- The Dalles, OR- 1 day per week
- Brookings, OR- 1 day per week needed
- Tilamook, OR- 1/2 day per week needed
- Veterans Evaluation Services (VES), a Maximus company, is a government contractor helping our nation's Veterans.
- Need is on a PRN basis, ongoing
- Two (2) options for coverage
- Travel and perform exams at VES leased facility
- Schedule Veterans within your own practice
Willing to accept these specialties:
- family medicine,
- internal medicine
- orthopedic surgery,
- anyone with a background in general medicine, or experience with compensation and pension.
- DMA certification available (can get CME credits) will need to obtain once privileged if not already certified- Client does not reimburse for DMA certifications or the portal training before starting
- Use of Goniometer required
- Familiar with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio required
- Proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.
- Own personal laptop (NO MACs)
- Training shall be provided for all Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs)
- Reporting/DBQs must be submitted within 48 hours upon exam completion - no narrative report. End product is completion of standardized form(s).
- Proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, and cardiovascular
- Own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products)
- AANP
- Active and unrestricted full license
- Must be willing to complete DMA training to become DMA certified
- CV needs current home address listed for presentation
- Will need a copy of ECFMG certificate if they attended school in a different country.
