Locum Interventional Radiologist
Seeking a Locum Interventional Radiologist beginning February 2026, with an initial 3 6 month assignment and the possibility to extend based on ongoing needs. This opportunity supports coverage due to two departing providers and offers a mix of onsite and remote work in a hospital-based setting.
Schedule & Coverage
Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
One onsite day dedicated to diagnostic breast imaging
Remote/teleradiology possible 2 3 days per week (TBD)
Practice Setting & Environment
Hospital-based practice with some remote coverage
Annual ED volume: approximately 120 patients per day
Radiology team: 8 physicians currently, transitioning to 6 after February
Full complement of support staff
EMR/Systems: Epic, PowerScribe, PACS
Estimated credentialing timeframe: days
Clinical Responsibilities
Diagnostic reads including:
Mammography
CT
PET/CT
Nuclear Medicine
Ultrasound
Pediatric studies
MRI (basic neuro, brain, spine, MSK, MS)
Interventional procedures:
Interventional breast and thyroid FNAs
Patient population: adolescent, pediatric, adult, and geriatric
Provider Requirements
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiology
Active Massachusetts license or proof of application submitted at least 3 months prior
ACLS and BLS certifications required
