Production Planning Specialist

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a Production Planning Specialist to join their team. As a Production Planning Specialist, you will be part of the Operations Department supporting the production scheduling and supply chain coordination. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, effective communication, and proficient in word, excel, and typing 45 WPM, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: ALTAVISTA, VA
Pay Range: $25
Shift: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
What's the Job?
- Schedule assigned production departments utilizing raw/input materials, available operators, and available equipment.
- Verify raw material availability to meet schedule requirements.
- Enter Distribution Orders (DO) between warehouses to ensure no production wait time.
- Order any support materials necessary to meet schedule requirements (e.g., reeds).
- Utilize M3 to generate production schedules, distribution orders, calculate MRP, and perform other functions necessary to meet customer demand and delivery dates.
What's Needed?
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Knowledge of personal computer and office equipment.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in scheduling or related field.
- Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel, including typing 45 WPM and data entry skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
