The Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) provides direct patient care as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant within a primary care setting, following established medical protocols and standards. Responsibilities include patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment of chronic illnesses, disease prevention, and managing emergent medical situations across all age groups. The role requires strong communication skills, experience with electronic health records, and certifications such as NP or PA and BLS.
Provide accurate and timely assessment. evaluation and treatment of patients from six (6) months to the geriatric population. Diagnostics- Ability to accurately interpret electrocardiogram and lab tests results. Provide accurate and timely diagnosis and care management to patients with chronic illnesses, such as hypertension, diabetes mellitus and asthma. Promote disease prevention by using effective risk assessment, coaching and counseling skills. As appropriate, provide timely and accurate completion of Annual Medicare Wellness physicals in accordance with Beebe Medical Group policy and Medicare guidelines. Ability to appropriately handle unexpected emergent medical situations. Ability to communicate effectively and in a professional manner with patients, co-workers and healthcare providers. Possess an energetic, compassionate and efficient work ethic with strong organizational skills and effective customer service skills. Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to working at other Primary Care locations within Beebe Medical Group as necessary.
Qualifications:Prefer previous experience in Family Medicine, Wellness Center, or Internal Medicine.
