Sumo Medical Staffing is recruiting an experienced Women s Health Nurse Practitioner for a full-time locums assignment in Fairbanks, Alaska. This outpatient role supports a busy OBGYN clinic while the facility recruits for a permanent provider and offers a stable Monday Friday schedule with no call or inpatient responsibilities.
We are seeking a Women s Health trained NP with a minimum of 3 years of direct women s health experience. This is a fully outpatient, follow-up focused role (approximately 60% OB and 40% GYN). The ideal provider is confident, independent, and able to step into a high-volume clinic without the need for onboarding or training. Due to patient backlog and an unexpected cancellation of a permanent candidate, coverage is needed as soon as licensing and credentialing can be completed.
Assignment Details:
Location: Fairbanks, AK
Setting: Outpatient OBGYN Clinic
Start Date: As soon as licensed & credentialed (targeting March)
Contract Length: Ongoing until permanent hire is secured
Schedule: Monday Friday, 8 a.m. 5 p.m.
Housing: Hospital housing required
Clinic Address: th Ave, Fairbanks, AK
Responsibilities Include:
Outpatient OB and GYN follow-up visits
60% Obstetrics / 40% Gynecology
Management of routine prenatal care
Postpartum follow-ups
Chronic GYN concerns
Problem visits and acute women s health needs
Independent clinical decision-making
Collaborative communication with physicians and clinic staff
