Job Summary The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians in the delivery of patient care. Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient needs. Identifies patient needs and determines priorities of care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Develops, implements, and coordinates individualized plans of care through initial and ongoing assessments for assigned patients. Initiates assessments based on patient problems or needs, physician medical diagnoses, and the functional health framework. Performs therapeutic nursing interventions. Manages and coordinates patient care. Documents care in accordance with standards of practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities. Advocates for evidence-based care standards and supports the adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery. Provides patient-centered care aligned with the professional nursing practice model. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
