Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU night shift position requiring CVICU experience in a level I trauma setting and an active OK or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) within a hospital setting
- Care for pediatric patients with cardiovascular conditions requiring critical care
- Level I trauma environment
- Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, 3 shifts per week
- No local candidates accepted; must reside outside a 50-mile radius
- Provide comprehensive nursing care and monitoring for pediatric patients with complex cardiovascular needs
- Administer medications, monitor physiological data, and assist with minor diagnostic procedures
- Collaborate with physicians and support staff on patient care plans
- Interaction with patients' families to communicate care plans and hospital procedures
- Documentation of patient responses to interventions and treatments
- May only extend contract once for a total of 26 weeks before a mandatory 6-month break is required
Requirements
- Active OK or compact RN license required
- Current certifications in BLS and PALS from AHA required
- Minimum of one year of nursing experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
- Experience in CVICU within a level I trauma setting required
- Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services
