This locum tenens position requires a board-certified or board-eligible general surgeon to provide inpatient adult surgical care with 24-hour call coverage in New Hampshire. Responsibilities include conducting surgeries, follow-up care, trauma cases, and managing patient consultations both in-person and via phone. The role demands compliance with state medical licensing, DEA registration, ACLS and ATLS certifications, and COVID-19 vaccination requirements.
Coverage Needed: ASAP - ongoing Clinical Information: 24 hour call coverage Half Day or Full-Day-Clinic while simultaneously on-call Patient ages: adult Inpatient setting There is one General Surgeon on at a time. Support staff- PM, MOS, MOC, RNs. No PA or NP support Minimal call-in on site overnight. Most can be consulted over the phone and surgeries can be done the next day. Follow-up care New Patients (depending on how long their rotation is) Phone calls 14-16 per week - it does include trauma Up to 15 days of call Weekends are 24 hour shifts. EMR - eClinical Works/ Meditech Daily patient volume 16 per day Required: ACLS and ATLS Board certified/board eligible DEA/CSR Current NH license DEA must remain in state to maintain privileges. Provider must be willing transfer and maintain DEA in state for the duration of privileges being active, or obtain a new in state DEA to remain in state for the duration of privileges being active Current Flu Vaccine Must be fully vaccinated for Covid 19 Exemptions only allowed for religious or medical reasons, once approved by the facility.
