Opportunity:
Registered Nurse - CVOR
Job Details:
• Work Monday through Friday, typically 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM schedule
• Early start times may require clocking in at 5:45 AM or 6:40 AM depending on case schedule
• Must have cardiothoracic experience and minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Travel experience required
• Valid PA license or Compact license required at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• Circulating skills required
• Patient ratio of 1:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Required to be on weekday call 1-2 times per week
• Weekend call required 1-2 times per 6-week schedule (Friday 3:00 PM to Monday 7:00 AM)
• Must live within 30-40 minutes of facility for call requirements
• Team averages at least 2 cases per day
• Work with patient age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• 10 hours of orientation required
• One weekend shift required every 6 weeks
• Pre-approved time off available (2 requests)
• Floating within hospital may be required when needed
Facility:
This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive cardiac surgery program with a dedicated Heart team consisting of 3 registered nurses. The facility features 10 operating rooms and provides extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services. The organization maintains high standards for patient care and requires completion of mandatory modules for all clinical staff.
