This hospitalist role focuses on rounding on patients in an acute care facility, providing high-quality patient care in collaboration with our medical team. Key Responsibilities:
- Round on patients in an acute care facility, ensuring comprehensive and continuous care.
- Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Conduct assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe medications.
- Provide patient education and counseling on diagnosis, treatments, and health maintenance.
- Participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds to discuss patient progress and coordinate discharge planning.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with hospital policies.
- Respond to emergent situations and assist in the stabilization and management of patients.
Qualifications:
- Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the state of Oregon.
- Board Certification as an NP in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Acute Care.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of hospitalist or acute care experience preferred.
- Strong clinical skills, with the ability to manage patients independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
