Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuroscience Progressive Care Unit (PCU) night shift position requiring a VA or compact RN license and at least two years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
- Position is in the Neuroscience Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts, 19:00-07:00
- Patient population primarily involves neurological conditions
- Assignment length is 13 weeks
- Locals are accepted at the same rate
- This is a smoke-free workplace; smoking is not allowed on campus
- Natural nail policy is enforced—no artificial nails or nail polish allowed
- Holiday coverage may be required; time-off requests must be submitted with application
- All candidates must submit to fingerprinting as per Virginia state code and may not start until results are cleared
- Documented references and completed skills checklist are required for consideration
Requirements
- Active VA or compact RN license required
- Minimum of two years' RN experience in a relevant setting
- Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program (Diploma, Associate, or BSN accepted)
- Must not have been employed by the health system within the previous twelve months
- Candidates must comply with a drug and tobacco-free workplace policy
