Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to provide exceptional rehabilitative services in inpatient, outpatient, and skilled nursing settings. This Monday–Friday position (8 AM–5 PM) offers a structured schedule with no weekends, 1-hour evaluations, 45-minute follow-ups, and no double-booking, averaging 8–9 patients per day. Under the direction of the Director of Physical Therapy, the PT will deliver therapeutic interventions, oversee department operations, ensure regulatory compliance, support performance improvement initiatives, and maintain accurate, timely documentation and patient charges. This role requires strong clinical skills, professionalism, and the ability to work collaboratively across care teams.
Clinical Care:
- Perform comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions for diverse patient populations
- Assess patient progress, modify treatment plans, and communicate updates to providers
- Deliver high-quality care across inpatient, outpatient, and SNF environments
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, goals, and home programs
Operations & Compliance:
- Maintain organized documentation and ensure accurate patient charge entry
- Support department quality improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance
- Operate and maintain therapy equipment safely and effectively
- Collaborate with leadership to support department budgeting and performance goals
Professional Conduct:
- Demonstrate professionalism, positive communication, and strong teamwork
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and ongoing professional development
- Uphold confidentiality, safety, infection control, and organizational policies
- Represent the organization professionally in all interactions
- Active California Physical Therapist license
- BLS certification required
- 1+ year of experience preferred (less than 1 year accepted per job listing)
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, PT modalities, and disease processes
- Ability to assess, plan, and implement therapy for all age groups
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively with staff at all levels and handle stressful situations calmly
- Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office, documentation systems)
- Commitment to professional ethics, teamwork, and continuous learning
