Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a night shift LTACH Med Surg/ICU position requiring a KY or compact RN license and current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Long Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH) setting within the Med Surg/ICU unit
• Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30
• Staffing ratios are 1:4
• Uses Meditech EMR; prior experience preferred
• Rotating weekly schedule of 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next
• Bi-weekly orientation sessions are provided
• Provide nursing care to long-term acute care patients in a Med Surg/ICU environment
• Travel pairs are not allowed except in rare circumstances with high unit needs
• Bi-weekly orientation is provided for incoming travelers
• First time travelers are not explicitly excluded
• Locals are not accepted due to a 100-mile radius rule

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required prior to start
• Minimum two years of recent LTACH experience required
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be considered
• Med Surg/ICU experience is required
