Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Michigan requiring a MI RN license and BLS/NRP certifications.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Special Care unit
- Caring for laboring, postpartum, and special care mothers and infants
- Night shift schedule from 7:00pm to 7:30am, three 12-hour shifts per week
- Must work every other weekend
- Float possible to a nearby sister hospital
- Uses Cerner EMR with at least one year of prior experience required
- No blocked scheduling allowed
- Deliver direct and coordinated care for laboring, postpartum, and special care mothers and infants
- Participate in comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient and family care
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Online modules must be completed onsite usually one week before start date
- Every other weekend shifts are mandatory
- Travelers may be required to float between hospital sites
- Professional scrubs required in accordance with hospital dress code
- Allow at least two weeks for background check and drug screening results before start date
- All required documentation and credentialing must be complete by specified deadlines
Requirements
- Active Michigan RN license required
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Minimum two years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required; three years preferred
- Current AHA BLS and NRP certifications required
- At least one year Cerner EMR experience
- Successful completion of online modules with passing scores prior to start
- COVID-19 vaccination required
