The Hematology/Oncology Physician provides specialized medical care for patients with blood disorders and cancer, managing treatments and follow-up appointments. This role involves on-call duties multiple times per month and collaboration with nursing staff and nurse practitioners. The physician is responsible for documenting treatment rationale and entering medical orders directly into the system.
Helena, MT:

On-Call Expectations:
-Potential for on-call at least 2 weekends/month, and 2-3 weeks of on-call shifts during the week throughout the month.
-Our permanent provider takes call during the week and weekends (approximately 2/month).
-Our NP takes call on a weekend once every 4-6 weeks with back-up from Huntsman MD.
3 weeks on 1 week off
Responsibilities:
Providers are responsible for entering their own orders and follow-up appointment requests. Nursing and MAs will help on occasion, but the expectation is all orders are entered by the provider.
Clearly document rationale for any treatment changes made within visit notes.
Locum will be working in coordination with a NP.
