Required Hours: 40 hrs/week, 8hr shifts, 5 evenings per week. Shift hours: 2:30pm-11pm Monday-Friday.1 weekend every 4thweekend (includes Sat and Sun) and2 holidays per year on a rotating basis 2:30pm-11pm with occasionally requirement for 12:30pm-9pm.

Responsibilities:

Performs duties of distribution, documentation and compounding related to drugs, solutions and equipment to meet the needs of patients and staff. Responsible for the reviewing, compounding, dispensing and monitoring of medication therapy for infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients which includes dosing variations, nutritional needs and disease states associated with the various age groups. Supervises pharmacy technician activities including monitoring of all orders filled by auxiliary personnel. Assumes responsibility for competency and self-development in professional pharmacy practice. Performs patient focused care clinical activities throughout the hospital, to provide patients with optimal medication therapy.

Qualifications:

Education

• Graduate of an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy with a Bachelors Degree or higher in Pharmacy.

Licenses and Certifications

• Licensed as a registered pharmacist in the state of Georgia.

• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
