Executive BBQ Chef Requirements and Must-Haves
- Minimum 4 years of culinary leadership in a high-volume, scratch-made BBQ or smokehouse environment
- Proven success managing ordering, labor, scheduling, and kitchen operations
- Deep understanding of food safety, sanitation, and inspection standards
- Strong ability to develop and lead teams through communication and accountability
- Confident working alongside hands-on ownership that values structure and performance
Preferred Background and Skills
- Experience in multi-unit or structured restaurant groups
- Mastery of smoking techniques, open-flame cooking, and Southern BBQ traditions
- Culinary degree or professional culinary training preferred
- Calm, organized leadership style with integrity and composure under pressure
- ServSafe certification or equivalent food safety credential
