This position is for a hospitalist physician specializing in inpatient internal medicine at a trauma II hospital in North Dakota, offering locums-to-perm employment. The role involves 12-hour shifts with day and night coverage, handling an average patient census and admissions with a supportive physician group and optional critical care procedures. ?Practice inpatient internal medicine with an established, skilled and diverse group of internal medicine physicians?Schedule is a 12 hour shifts, 25 weeks per year (with potential for additional shifts)oDay shift: 6:00 a.m. 6:00 p.m. ?Some night shifts required ?Six to seven hospitalists on each day shift and one to two on each night shift?Average patient census is patients per hospitalist per day?Average admits and consults per day is 16-17 (average 4 per hospitalist)?Night shift would be covering approximately 90 patients each night with an average of 8.5 admissions per nighto2nd hospitalist working a swing shift from 6:00 p.m. 12:00 a.m. to help with new admissionsoNight call is approximately 1:10 with a goal to get to 1:14.
