Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position on a 34-bed unit with telemetry and night shift requirements.
Responsibilities
- Position is based on a 34-bed Med/Surg unit with telemetry monitoring
- Patient ratios are typically 1:5-7
- Night shift schedule of either 4x12 or 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
- Weekend coverage required, typically 3 weekends per 4-week period
- Uses Cerner EMR system
- Perform nursing duties for adult medical-surgical patients including telemetry care
- No scrubs provided; candidates must supply their own
- Strict attendance policy allowing only 2-3 call offs per contract
- Extensions possible upon successful completion of initial contract
Requirements
- Active WV or compact state RN license required
- Current BCLS and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience required
- No prior travel experience required
