Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift assignment requiring a DC RN license and intermediate AWHONN EFM certification.
Responsibilities
- Hospital setting in a Labor & Delivery unit
- Care for women of childbearing age, including laboring patients, those undergoing scheduled procedures such as C-sections, external cephalic versions, cerclage, and triage
- Unit manages admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-op, and deliveries (vaginal and cesarean)
- Shift consists of four 12-hour night shifts per week, totaling 48 hours
- Uses fetal monitors and Fetalink for documentation
- Documentation is completed in Cerner EMR
- Responsibilities include care for pregnant patients, assisting during labor and delivery, and supporting L&D procedures
- May participate in scheduled procedures and emergent interventions as needed
- Scrub practices or dress code will be specified by the facility
- COVID and flu vaccination may be required
Requirements
- Active DC RN license required at the time of consideration
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
- AWHONN Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring certification required
- Minimum of 2 years recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience in a US hospital
- Cerner EMR experience required
- Must reside at least 25 miles from the facility
- CPI certification mandated for this position
- Submission of two professional managerial or supervisory references preferred, with at least one from the most recent employer
- Valid US Social Security Number required for consideration
