- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state
- At least 1 year of recent experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU), step-down, or intermediate care nursing jobs
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts
- Strong clinical assessment, patient monitoring, and healthcare communication skills
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Neuro Progressive Care Unit
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions; respond promptly to changes in status
- Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions as prescribed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and ongoing health management
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all patient care activities in compliance with hospital policies
