Permanent opportunity for a Medical Physicist to support a Radiation Oncology program in Boise, ID. This role focuses on ensuring the accuracy, safety, and quality of radiation treatments while collaborating closely with clinical and administrative teams.
Full-time, day-shift position
Radiation Oncology hospital-based program
Oversight of radiation measurements, calibration, and equipment commissioning
Participation in chart reviews and departmental quality assurance meetings
Brachytherapy procedure oversight for safety, accuracy, and documentation
Involvement in radiation safety, NRC documentation, and departmental policies
Master s degree in Medical Physics
Current certification by the American Board of Radiology (ABR)
Successful completion of ABR Part I & II with full ABR certification within 3 years of hire
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Physicist in a cancer treatment setting
Experience in a Varian treatment environment (Highly Preferred)
Experience with external beam treatment planning (SRS, SBRT, IMRT, 3DCRT) (Highly Preferred)
Brachytherapy treatment planning experience (Highly Preferred)
Experience with Sun Nuclear QA devices (Highly Preferred)
Experience with 4D CT, gated radiation therapy, and Vision RT/OSMS (Highly Preferred)
