Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification and Computed Tomography (CT) post-primary credentials.
Responsibilities
- Work in a nuclear medicine department within a hospital setting
- Performs a range of exams from diagnostic to therapeutic nuclear medicine studies
- Uses GE and Philips nuclear medicine cameras
- Day shifts offered as either 4x10 hour shifts (7:00 AM to 5:30 PM) or 5x8 hour shifts
- Every third weekend required with no on-call duties
- Potential to float to cardiac departments as needed
- EPIC is used for charting and prior experience is required or preferred
- Locals accepted at the same rate
- Must have schedule availability for at least one out of two major holidays
- All schedule requests must be pre-approved
- No block scheduling is permitted
- Black scrubs are required
- Returning employees must have a 1 year break before eligibility for travel assignments
- Background and license checks must show no open or active issues
Requirements
- Current ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification
- Post primary credentials in Computed Tomography (CT) required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum of 2 years nuclear medicine experience preferred
- Ability to perform a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures
- NJ license or compact state license required if applicable
- First time travelers will be considered
