They are responsible for accurate scanning, using RIS/PACS systems, and adhering to hospital policies while maintaining certifications and competencies. The role requires relevant education, licensure, and experience in hospital and imaging settings, along with flexibility and patient care knowledge across all age groups.

Under the supervision of a radiologist and the direction of department leadership, this position competently performs imaging on all general radiographic equipment and is provided the opportunity and encouragement to expand their skill set into other modalities such as Interventional Radiology, Mammography, CT, MRI, and Bone Density. Responsible for appropriate scanning and imaging protocols in all qualified in all areas where competent and certified. Must have the ability to recognize general radiography anatomy. Responsible for providing service excellence and complying with hospital policies and procedures. Uses the RIS/PACS and HIS for proper recording of patient exams and dissemination of patient results.
