RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in a 33-bed Med-Surg/Oncology unit
• Patient ratios of 5-6 patients per nurse
• Day shift staffing includes 5 RNs, 1 clinical coordinator/charge (no patient assignment), 2-3 techs, and 1 unit secretary
• Night shift staffing includes 5 RNs (including charge nurse with patient assignment) and 2-3 techs
• Work with Baxter IV pumps and Meditech EMR system (EBCD version)
• Required to perform bedside shift reports and hourly rounding with tech assistance
• Participate in shift huddles
• Medical surgical experience in acute care setting required
• Oncology and chemotherapy experience preferred
• BLS certification required
• Dress code requires navy blue scrubs (white also acceptable)
• Must demonstrate positive, energetic personality and value teamwork
• Unit has achieved most improved patient experience scores and received numerous patient/family recognitions
