Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical Stepdown Intermediate Care position requiring a KS or compact RN license and BLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Work in a 36-bed general surgery and trauma stepdown/intermediate care unit
- Hospital setting with a mix of general surgery and trauma patients
- Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 08:30
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call responsibilities
- All clinicians must provide a valid US Social Security Number and US home address
- Only one Ascension position application is allowed per candidate system-wide
- Night shift schedule may include holiday coverage as needed
- Local candidates are accepted at a reduced rate based on state-specific radius rules
- COVID-19 vaccination is not required for this position
- Two professional references and a copy of driver’s license are required for consideration
Requirements
- Active KS or compact RN license
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification required
- Minimum of 1 year RN experience in a relevant setting
- Nursys license verification and primary source license verification required within 30 days prior to assignment
- NIH Certification and MOAB De-Escalation Training recommended
