Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts in a combination medical surgical/stepdown unit
• Weekend requirement of 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• Holiday rotation for evening or day shifts
• Patient ratios: Stepdown 1:3 and Floor 1:5-6
• 20-bed unit with no floating requirements
• No call or standby requirements
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA)
• Must have stepdown experience
• Must be comfortable titrating drips including Heparin, insulin, Cardizem, and amiodarone
• Work with patients having respiratory issues, weakness, UTI, AKI, and chest pain
• Telemetry monitoring available with strips read at Ruby
• Respiratory therapy equipment includes CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow oxygen
• Two nurse aids available per shift
• House supervisor support available
• Unit-specific orientation provided
• Royal blue scrub color required
• EPIC charting system
• Must submit copy of unexpired driver's license with application
• 50-mile radius rule applies
• Cancellation policy allows 2 shifts per 13-week assignment or 1 shift for shorter assignments
